With Valentine’s Day coming up I thought I’d share a chic date night look I love to wear. This is a great outfit for going out anytime this winter season for date night, dinner, drinks, etc. I especially love the lace floral detailing mixed with the bell sleeve. I love incorporating bell sleeves into my wardrobe as they can be such a stylish piece. When temperatures drop I like to pair this outfit with my black leather jacket (on sale). Check out how else I style the jacket here! This black leather jacket has become a staple piece of my fall and winter wardrobes.
This weekend we’re heading to Dallas to celebrate my hubby’s birthday along with Valentine’s Day! So you know what that means, Nordstrom shopping oh yea! I can’t wait to see what kind of things I find. I’m like a kid in a candy store there. I’m looking for some great pieces to add to my spring wardrobe. Let’s be honest, my spring wardrobe is the largest. Floral and pastels are my thing, what can I say!
We’re looking for some great restaurants and brunch spots to hit up, so comment below if you know of any! We’ve also heard that the Bishop Arts District in Dallas is a must see so we’ll definitely be checking out that area of town.

Happy Friday! For many of you your workweek is ending and you’re looking forward to a relaxing weekend. I however, have a huge work event this weekend that I’m so excited for, but know I’ll be absolutely exhausted by the time the weekend has come to an end.
Anyway, let’s talk about fashion! I purchased this Betsey Johnson dress about two years ago, after wearing it in a fashion show. At the time, it was around $200 full—price, which was way out of my budget. I waited until it was more than 50% off before purchasing. I’m so glad I did. I’ve probably worn this dress 20-25 times. I love it.
At that time bell sleeves were a risky, yet confident-in-your-style kind of decision to make. I enjoy taking risks with my style, in hopes of showing other women pieces they can add to their wardrobe. Now bell-sleeves are all the rage! This Spring and Summer was huge for the style. Every fashion blogger was wearing them and they were in every store I walked into. Isn’t it funny how trends from the 60’s and 70’s are such a hit this year? Although my dress is no longer available, I have linked the cream version here and I’ve added similar styles below.

Yay it’s Friday! I’m going to be trying a couple new things out with the blog and one of those will be posting on Fridays. I’d really like to see if I’m able to reach more of you by posting towards the end of the week as opposed to the beginning. I know Mondays can be miserable and hectic for some people. You’ve been at work 45 seconds and your boss is already calling you with new assignments to do along with the multiple work emails you need to read (that used to be my life too). So I’m going to try posting on Fridays for a few weeks to see if you all like that more!
Today’s look is a fun breezy flirty bell-sleeve dress. As one of my older posts shows, bell-sleeves are definitely “in” this year. I snagged this dress during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and can’t wait to wear it over the next few months. I’m a sucker for loose and light dresses, especially when the temps are above 80 degrees. This dress comes in so many different colors so my hardest decision was which color to choose! I went with Plum because I felt like it was a great color to lead into fall. As fall approaches in the next month I’ll be giving you some ideas ahead of time so you can begin planning your fall wardrobe. I hope to inspire you, whether you’re shopping online or in the mall.
Also, I did a little something different this week. You’ll notice as you scroll through the pictures above I have a tote in some with no belt and then I’m styling the bell-sleeve dress with a belt. I know I’ll be wearing it a few different ways this fall so I thought I’d show you another option. Which look is your favorite?
*Note – I’m wearing a small but other customers of this dress have said it’s short and had to go ONE SIZE UP. So if you have longer legs or are taller than 5’5, keep that in mind!
I’m also looking for some new post ideas. Is there something you’d like to see more or less of? Something different? Comment below or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your questions and thoughts!

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day. Yesterday was also my 23rd birthday so we went out to brunch and attended a wedding in OKC. More details to come.
This week’s post features the currently popular bell sleeve and of course my fav type of print, floral. I found this top on sale at Dillard’s (found it WAY on sale for you) last week and loved it! If you’re a woman who knows fashion you know bell sleeves are so in right now. They are huge (literally) this season. The detailing of the bell sleeve is great because it features enough up top to enable you to keep the bottom of your outfit simple – it does the work for you! For a more conservative look, go for a solid-colored bell-sleeved top and fun-layered or statement necklaces. For fun upcoming events try those patterned bell-sleeved tops you’ve been eyeing! Just remember that with bell sleeves the details are up top, so keep your bottoms simple.
Have a great week ladies!
